What Does The Cerave Repair Cream Promise?

The product makes tall promises, as it aims to hydrate, leaving the skin smoother, brighter, reducing dark circles, redness, and wrinkles.

Formulation

The product contains three ceramides and hyaluronic acid, which restore the skin’s protective barrier and help retain natural hydration.

According to the brand, the Repair Cream has a light and fluid texture, which quickly penetrates the skin.

The formula is enriched with ceramides, niacinamide, and hyaluronic acid, which help reduce the appearance of dark circles and bags.

It also has a botanical extract that minimizes the appearance of dark circles and bags, helping to illuminate the entire area around the eyes.

Niacinamide helps to soothe the skin.

For a lasting action, the product features the patented MVE technology, which releases the activities in a prolonged way.

Ceramides

Ceramides are used to replace natural lipids that are lost through exposure to adverse environmental factors, the use of chemicals and during the natural aging process.

People who have eczema or psoriasis have less ceramides in the outer layer of their skin compared to people without the condition.

In this case, the use of products containing these molecules can improve their conditions.

Hyaluronic Acid

Hyaluronic acid works by smoothing expression lines by filling small spaces that appear between the dermis and the epidermis, ensuring hydration and uniformity to the skin.

Niacinamide

One of the activities that are gaining more and more popularity in skincare is niacinamide.

The active form of vitamin B3 is an extremely safe natural substance that can treat dark circles, blemishes, dryness, melasma, wrinkles, and acne.

Texture

The brand says this product has a lightweight fluid texture, which in my opinion is not the truth.

The texture is pretty much like a medium to thick moisturizer and I don’t think this texture is easy to spread onto the skin.

The under eyes area is very sensitive, and special for my under eyes, I prefer a super lightweight consistency that allows me to spread the product with as minimal pressure as possible.

Fragrance

You can believe it when they say this product is fragrance-free.

Does It Work For Hydration?

If you have dry skin under the eyes, I think the Cerave eye repair cream provides good hydration.

The action is not overnight even though the moment you apply it you can feel a certain relief.

For better results keep using it regularly day and night and you will notice it will work fine.

However, do not expect miracles, as the results are not that huge.

A good tip is to apply it before makeup, to help your concealer look more polished.

Did It Work To Reduce Dark Circles?

I didn’t notice too many improvements with dark circles. I don’t have dark circles that much, but even like that, I don’t think it made that much difference.

Did It Work To Reduce Bags?

For this, I cannot say much but I have a friend who used it and told me it did nothing to reduce her under eyes bags.

How to Use CeraVe Eye Repair Cream

You can use the CeraVe Eye Repair Cream every day, in the morning and in the evening.

Just apply it as you would apply any other eye cream, but a good tip is to use the ring finger to gently tap the product in the area.

I also like to do a little massage in a circular motion so I can activate the blood circulation in the area.

Make sure skin is properly cleansed and dry.

You can also apply a tiny bit of the product before applying it to makeup, which will serve as a primer for the area.

Who Can Use This Eye Cream?

Even though this product is highly indicated for those with dry skin, anyone can benefit from it.

I have oily skin myself and used it without problems.
