This article explains how to rearrange songs in an iTunes playlist. Instructions work for all versions of iTunes. To adjust the order of the tracks on your playlist:
iTunes automatically saves these edits. Sync the edited playlist to your portable media player, play it on your computer, or burn it to CD, and enjoy your songs in their new order.
When you create a playlist in iTunes, songs appear in the order in which you add them. If the songs all came from the same album but aren't listed in the album's sequence, you may want to reorganize the playlist to match the album.
