Garnier vs simple micellar water review năm 2024

Hola mis amigos! I feel like I haven't been here forever. Thanks to all my readers that always come back to my blog to look for swatches, reviews etc. If you are new thank you and welcome, if you are old thanks for sticking around and being patient with me. I know this blog is truly dedicated to swatches but why not bend the rule and branch out to other beauty related products. Besides, skincare is truly important in order to have your face looking flawless during your makeup application.

Firstly, let's start off with some background information. What is micellar water? Why do people use it? Micellar water is made up of micelles, In layman terms micelles are tiny balls of cleansing oil molecules. In biochemistry, we describe it as aggregate of surfactant molecules dispersed in a liquid colloid, it basically a spontaneous arrangement of liquid molecules, that form into a spherical shape once in contact with an aqueous environment. *For all my nerds out there*. Which is great because it is suitable for all skin types, you are able to attract dirt and oil without drying out your skin. It is considered a one stop shop, you can use it as a face wash, make up remover and moisturizer. Since I have dry skin, I still use a moisturizer afterwards. Yet, I still love the fact that it is truly moisturizing, contains no alcohol/ abrasive chemicals and best of all it doesn't dry me out!

Garnier advertises their Micellar water as "an all-in-1 cleanser is surprisingly powerful yet gentle to skin. It effectively removes makeup, cleanses skin and refreshes. A multi-purpose cleanser that contains Micellar technology. Like a magnet, micelles capture and lift away dirt, oil and makeup without harsh rubbing, leaving skin perfectly clean, hydrated and refreshed without over-drying." They promise us consumers that, "it is suprisingly Powerful yet Gentle to Skin with Micellar Technology. Like a magnet, micelles capture and lift away dirt, oil and makeup without harsh rubbing, leaving skin perfectly clean and refreshed without over-drying. The bottle with a "pink cap" is for regular make up (the one you see below) and the bottle with the "blue cap" is for waterproof makeup. I only bought the bottle with the pink cap because I rarely use waterproof makeup. There is also another bottle with a "green cap" for combination skin, currently not available to purchase in the US.

On the other hand, Simple advertises their Micellar water as "a perfect blend of multi-vitamins, skin loving ingredients and gentle cleansers to cleanse the skin while removing make-up. Skin is left feeling clean & hydrated. It contains "Triple Purified Water: Our purest possible water to minimize potential for irritation from particles or contaminants that can irritate skin. Vitamin B3: Known to restore, soften and smooth skin. It's especially great for those with dry skin. Vitamin C: A water soluble antioxidant vitamin for skin. Hexylene Glycol: Helps dissolve makeup and kindly conditions the skin."

Final Verdict: Garnier (9 out of 10) versus Simple (6 out of 10) . I am a die hard simple fan! Like legit I own so many products from Simple. However, Garnier stole the show with this new product. It does what it's meant to do. While using Simple I applied so much more product and used so much more cotton pads to take off my makeup/ cleanse my face. I could use about 4-5 cotton pads with simple and have residue left on my face (mind you I don't wear foundation, mostly blush and highlighter). That's why the bottle is almost empty. With Garnier I needed 2 cotton pads with minimal residue left on my face hence the 9/10. I truly enjoy this product, I have had it for a week and had to repurchase another bottle for back up needs. Hopefully, Simple improves on the formula in the near future. The price range is the same for both, depending on what store you purchase it from. I purchased mine from Target for $6.99, also don't forget to use ebates to get (2%) cash back. Also, Target has a promo if you spend $20 you get $5 gift card!

Leave a comment, if you have tried either one of these products and tell me if you love it or hate it!

Again thanks for reading, I'll see you sooner than you think!

Which micellar water is the best to use?

Look for micellar water that is designed for your skin type. Those with oily, acne-prone skin will benefit from purifying micellar waters like the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water All-in-1, while those with dry skin should look for formulas that offer hydration, like the Vichy Purete Thermale Mineral Micellar Water.

What are the disadvantages of Garnier micellar water?

Downsides and side effects Micellar water also leaves surfactants on the skin's surface. This does not cause problems for many people, but if a person exclusively uses micellar water and does not also wash the face, these surfactants may build up.

Is Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water effective?

A: Yes. Though micellar water is very effective at removing makeup, it is also formulated to gently lift impurities and excess oil from your skin. It is also a cleansing water for everyday use, even if you don't use makeup.

Garnier Micellar cleansing water is ideal, as it lifts all the foundation from your pores removing impurities along with it. Small liquid-filled crystals called micelles are contained in the cleansing water, and attract oil, makeup and dirt. They unclog your pores and leave you with fabulous glowing skin.
