I figured it out. The thing is that the .dll file is already there. It just isn't in the correct directory from the C++ redistributable install that is performed during the installation of the game. Strangely enough, I had given up on fixing this and installed an update for Microsoft Visual Studio, which contained the MSVCP110.dll file. So, that was easy. However, one may also solve the issue by installing the 2012 C++ redist. package from Microsoft. In other posts, it was being said that the 2010 package should work, but that doesn't contain the MSVCP series of dll files. Thank you guys for the suggestions, and all of the help. You've been invaluable assets in this venture.
If you still have that problem after updating WIN from 8 to 10, or only after updating 10 - it is propably caused by missing dll files! For me MSVCP110.dll and MSVCR110.dll were missing.
Here is what you should do:
1. Go to the folder where you installed HOMM, for me it is:
D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Heroes of Might & Magic III - HD Edition
2. Click with right button on HOMM3 2.0.exe or HOMM3Launcher.exe
3 a1. On the top of the list you should have something like: solve the problem with compability (or something like that, I have different language so I have to translate it) - for me it is the 4th position of the top on the list
3 a2. Click on the second position - solve the problem by yourself
3 a3. Click on the first position - program was working with the previous versions of WIN, but now you can't install or launch it
3 a4. Program was working previous with: Click on WIN 8.
3 a5. Click on "test the program" by using WIN 8.
3 a6. Now it should be written what dll files you are exactly missing.

3 b1. If you didn't find "solve the problem with compability" on the top of the list, you should click once again with right button and the lowest position (at the bottom) is "properties" - go there
3 b2. On the top you should see bookmarks - "general", "compability", "safety", "details", "previous versions"
Choose "compability"
3 b3. On the top of the bookmark "compability" you should see "Launch the tool to solve the problem with compability" - click on it
3 b4. Do the same as in (3 a2) - (3 a6) !!!

Now, when you know what type of dll you are missing, you should download them from the internet and copy them into 3 folders:

Lỗi X3DAudio1_7.dll thường xuất hiện khi game Heroes of Might and Magic 3: Complete hoặc phần mềm được khởi động và nó có thể xảy ra cho bất kỳ chương trình nào dựa trên Microsoft DirectX. Nhưng các bạn yên tâm, lỗi này xuất hiện phổ biến nhất khi các bạn chơi game mà thôi.
Hướng dẫn khắc phục lỗi X3DAudio1_7.dll
Cực kỳ đơn giản, bạn chỉ cần tải Microsoft DirectX về cài vào máy là xong. Không cần khởi động lại máy đâu.
Một số lưu ý các bạn nên ghi nhớ:
1. Tuyệt đối không được tải dll này trên internet về copy vào System32 hoặc copy vào thư mục game.
2. Khi bạn đã bị lỗi này thì không được phân vân suy nghĩ, hay tìm cách lục lại trí nhớ xem mình đã từng cài hay chưa. Cứ bị lỗi này thì cứ tải DirectX về cài vào máy.
Các thắc mắc khác:
Đã không ít bạn luôn nghĩ rằng máy đã có sẵn DirectX nên không cần cài vào nữa dù đây là phần mềm BẮT BUỘC phải cài trong FAQs. Các bạn đó đã vào Dxdiag kiểm tra và thấy đã có sẵn DirectX 10, DirectX11 hoặc DirectX 12. (Như hình bên dưới)
Mình xin trả lời rằng đó là DirectX cao nhất mà Windows của bạn có khả năng hỗ trợ chứ nó không phản ánh được việc bạn đã có DirectX trong máy hay là chưa. Tóm lại là: HÃY CÀI VÀO.
Mình xin bổ sung là DirectX trong ảnh trên là Windows hỗ trợ chứ KHÔNG PHẢI phần cứng trong máy bạn hỗ trợ nhé. Ví dụ cụ thể:
- Windows hỗ trợ DirectX 11 (Dxdiag ghi 11 hoặc 12) nhưng máy của bạn không có Card Đồ Họa hỗ trợ DirectX 11 => Không chơi được
- Windows quá cũ không hỗ trợ DirectX 11 (Dxdiag ghi 9 hoặc 10) nhưng máy bạn có Card Đồ Họa rất mạnh hỗ trợ DirectX 11 và cả 12 => Không chơi được
- Windows hỗ trợ DirectX 11 (Dxdiag ghi 11 hoặc 12) và máy của bạn có Card Đồ Họa hỗ trợ DirectX 11 và cả 12 => Chơi được
