I cannot reproduce this with either the latest stable or current development versions of Blender:

Please try the latest daily build: https://builder.blender.org/download/

Go to File → Defaults → Load Factory Settings and then load your file to see if you still can reproduce this issue.

If the problem persists, please give us more clear instructions on how to reproduce it from scratch.

Hi Pratik, Yes, it is still the same fault :-) and yes I have tested it with factory settings. It cured it until I tried to filter my workspace, then it was back. I have tried the latest 3.2 alpha...same results. The problem is connected to Workspace>Filter checkbox :-) When unchecked all is well, when workspace>filter checked - no light properties :-) The problem does not exist in Blender 3.0.1 so it is connected some change made to Blender since that version :-) I can send you screenshots or anything else you would like :-)

@Munroman This is expected as far as I can tell. Notice that Cycles is actually an add-on, so if you enable Workspace Filter and don't enable Cycles with Cycles selected as the render engine, the light settings will not appear. So you either enable Cycles or use another render engine. Does that work?

Cycles,Evee.....makes no difference. Workspace>Filter checked - Light Properties dissapears, Workspace>Filter unchecked - Light Properties re-appears :-)

But does enabling Cycles in the filter list make it work?

Cycles is always enabled being my render engine of choice. The only thing that makes it work is unchecking Workspace>Filter

Cannot reproduce either. Do you get any errors in the console? https://docs.blender.org/manual/en/3.2/advanced/command_line/launch/windows.html

No errors in console :-) No Errors shown anywhere.....but when Workspace>Filter is checked no "Light Properties" :-)

What about material settings and render settings? Does this apply only to light settings?

I can't reproduce this issue as well.

I can't reproduce this issue as well.

@Munroman hi, can you upload userprefs.blend, startup.blend files?

(I expect them at- `C:\Users\user_name\AppData\Roaming\Blender Foundation\Blender\3.1\config`)

Using Cycles as Render Engine I can reproduce the issue. Which makes sense because the entire UI of the addon Cycles is filtered.

Using Eevee as Render Engine I can't reproduce the issue. Which should be expected since e Eevee is not an addon.

Are you sure you set Eevee to Render Engine? As Eevee is used internally as the Viewport Shading `userprefs.blend`0, this can be confusing at times.

Problem Solved?

Evee, Cycles makes no difference. I have various tabs setup with different addons filtered in/out and I just noticed in the last 5 minutes that some tabs are ok the light source settings are there while in other tabs they are not. So I now have the mind numbing task of finding what addon filtered in/out is causing the problem.

I have found that by enabling an addon in the filtered list called Photographer 4 my lighting settings are restored :-)
