Trang Benchlife mới đây đã tiết lộ gần như đầy đủ các thông số của card đồ họa giá rẻ Geforce GTX 1050, đối thủ nặng ký nhất của RX460 trong phân khúc dưới 4 triệu đồng.

Dĩ nhiên, card đồ họa này sẽ sử dụng GPU kiến trúc Pascal, có mã là GP107. Gần như chắc chắn, GTX 1050 sẽ thay thế cho GTX 950 trước đây, với giá bán tương đương nhưng hiệu năng vượt trội kèm theo nhiều công nghệ mới.

Có rất nhiều giả thuyết đặt ra về hiệu năng của GTX 1050, trong tầm giá tương ứng cùng GTX 950, nhưng nhiều khả năng card đồ họa mới này sẽ không thua kém gì GTX 970 của thế hệ trước đó. Điều này hoàn toàn có thể xảy ra, khi mà GTX 1070 mạnh ngang TITAN X (đời cũ), còn GTX 1060 có hiệu năng chẳng kém GTX 980.

Cụ thể, GTX 1050 sẽ được trang bị GP107-400, với 768 nhân CUDA. Mặc dù số lượng nhân xử lý thấp hơn nhiều so với mức 1664 CUDA Cores của GTX 970, tuy nhiên so sánh 2 sản phẩm thuộc thế hệ cũ Maxwell và Pascal mới ra mắt, điều đó không còn thực sự mang nhiều ý nghĩa. Hãy nhìn vào GTX 1080, với số lượng nhân CUDA ít hơn so với GTX 980Ti, nhưng lại có hiệu năng mạnh gấp đôi.

Điều đáng quan tâm đó là GTX 1050 sẽ có 4GB GDDR5 VRAM, cao hơn mức dung lượng trên GTX 970 (vốn chỉ có 3,5 GB). Không loại trừ khả năng sẽ xuât hiện 1 phiên bản với chỉ 2GB VRAM, cạnh tranh trực tiếp cùng RX480 của AMD, vốn cũng có 2 phiên bản bộ nhớ tương tự.

Xung nhịp trên GTX 1050 sẽ là 1380MHz, thấp hơn tương đối so với các VGA gần đây của NVIDIA, dù thế điều này cũng không quá quan trọng. Chắc chắn VGA sử dụng GPU GP107 này sẽ hướng đến người dùng phổ thông, mục đích chơi game esport thông thường, đúng như những gì RX460 đang hướng tới.

Cũng giống như RX460, GTX 1050 sẽ chỉ yêu cầu điện áp 75W, lấy hoàn toàn từ khe cắm PCI-E 3.0 16x. Nói như vậy, VGA này sẽ trở thành VGA không nguồn phụ đầu tiên thuộc thế hệ Pascal.

Hiện vẫn chưa có hình ảnh thực tế nào lộ diện, rất khó có thể xác định được rằng VGA này có được trang bị đầy đủ các cổng kết nối hay không.

Giá bán của GTX 1050 được dự đoán sẽ nằm trong khoảng 150 USD, thấp hơn 50 USD so với GTX 1060, nhưng cao hơn tương đối nếu đặt cạnh đối thủ RX460. NVIDIA sẽ chính thức giới thiệu card đồ họa này trong tháng 10 tới đây và bán ra không lâu sau đó.

3DMark Vantage Performance

3DMark Vantage is an outdated DirectX 10 benchmark using 1280x1024 screen resolution. It taxes the graphics card with two scenes, one depicting a girl escaping some militarized base located within a sea cave, the other displaying a space fleet attack on a defenseless planet. It was discontinued in April 2017, and Time Spy benchmark is now recommended to be used instead.

3DMark 11 Performance GPU

3DMark 11 is an obsolete DirectX 11 benchmark by Futuremark. It used four tests based on two scenes, one being few submarines exploring the submerged wreck of a sunken ship, the other is an abandoned temple deep in the jungle. All the tests are heavy with volumetric lighting and tessellation, and despite being done in 1280x720 resolution, are relatively taxing. Discontinued in January 2020, 3DMark 11 is now superseded by Time Spy.

3DMark Fire Strike Graphics

Fire Strike is a DirectX 11 benchmark for gaming PCs. It features two separate tests displaying a fight between a humanoid and a fiery creature seemingly made of lava. Using 1920x1080 resolution, Fire Strike shows off some realistic graphics and is quite taxing on hardware.

3DMark Cloud Gate GPU

Cloud Gate is an outdated DirectX 11 feature level 10 benchmark that was used for home PCs and basic notebooks. It displays a few scenes of some weird space teleportation device launching spaceships into unknown, using fixed resolution of 1280x720. Just like Ice Storm benchmark, it has been discontinued in January 2020 and replaced by 3DMark Night Raid.

GeekBench 5 OpenCL

Geekbench 5 is a widespread graphics card benchmark combined from 11 different test scenarios. All these scenarios rely on direct usage of GPU's processing power, no 3D rendering is involved. This variation uses OpenCL API by Khronos Group.

3DMark Ice Storm GPU

Ice Storm Graphics is an obsolete benchmark, part of 3DMark suite. Ice Storm was used to measure entry level laptops and Windows-based tablets performance. Discontinued in January 2020, it is now superseded by 3DMark Night Raid.
