Choosing Your BMW X3The 2023 BMW X3 compact luxury SUV is available in three trim levels, the sDrive30i and xDrive30i (with all-wheel drive), M40i, and X3 M. Base prices range from $46,395 to $73,895. Engine ChoicesThe 2023 BMW X3 is offered with efficient turbocharged four and six-cylinder engines. The base model (sDrive30i) is rear-wheel drive while all-wheel drive is offered for ($2,000) on the base trim and standard on the other trims. The X3 is equipped with an eight-speed automatic on all trims and the M with the Competition Package allows for a temporary extra boost for more power.
Passenger and Cargo CapacityThe 2023 BMW X3 stretches to 185.9 inches in length and seats five. It offers 36.4 inches of rear legroom and has a spacious cargo area that can hold 28.7 cubic feet worth of stuff or 62.7 cubic feet with the seats folded. When properly equipped, the X3 can tow up to 4,400 pounds which is at the top end of this segment. Safety FeaturesThe X3 is equipped with basic active safety technology such as low-speed automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, blind-spot detection, lane departure warning, parking sensors, and automatic high beams. Inside, synthetic leather seats, dark oak wood trim, dual-zone climate control, ambient lighting, a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel are among the notable interior features. The Convenience Package includes proximity entry and a panoramic sunroof for $1,650 while the $2,650 Premium Package includes those features and adds integrated navigation into the digital gauge cluster and a heated steering wheel. The M Sport Package ($4,100) includes dark gray 19-inch wheels, high gloss exterior trim, deeper front and rear bumpers, body-color exterior lower trim, and an M steering wheel, and opens up the availability of the Dynamic Handling Package ($1,400) that packs a sport steering system, performance brakes with painted calipers, and adaptive dampers. Leather is available for $1,500. 2023 BMW X3 M40i - MSRP From $60,945 The mid-level performance variant of the X3 comes dressed with the M Sport trim, the Dynamic Handling Package, the Convenience Package, and uniquely offers a head-up display through the Premium Package ($1,350), a surround-view camera for $700, an M Sport rear differential ($1,300), and BMW 50 Years emblems ($200) to mark its anniversary. A synthetic leather dash panel and aluminum trim are now included while leather remains optional. 2023 BMW X3 M - MSRP From $73,895 The pinnacle of X3 performance is designated by its unique front and rear bumpers, 20-inch wheels, a prominent roof spoiler, quad exhaust outlets, carbon fiber exterior and interior trim, sport seats with power bolsters and extendable thigh support, a unique shifter with driveline controls, a unique gauge cluster display, and additional controls on the sport steering wheel. Underneath it all, the M features a unique suspension design, an M Sport rear differential, re-tuned dynamic dampers, and revised all-wheel drive calibration. The $7,000 Competition Package brings more, albeit temporary, power, 21-inch wheels, leather sport seats, a sport exhaust system, seat belts with the M brand colors, and gloss black exterior trim that extends to the grille and exhaust outlets while the Driving Assistance Professional Package ($1,700) and Executive Package ($3,650) are also available to ensure the priciest X3 doesn’t go without any of the features of the lesser trims.
