Here's how you can get on the new Nissan Z order list now. This is only for US residents.

Are you looking to pre-order the New Z? In this interview with Shawn Stegall we discuss how you can get on the list to pre-order the new car, how pre-orders are handled, how the actual rollout is likely to go and more. Nissan says the new Z is due out in the Spring of 2022, but Shawn and I talk through the reality of the cars new launch. We don't just talk about ordering either. We get in to the like MSRP, options, trim levels and our thoughts on the car itself.

Shawn is in sales at Orr Nissan Central, one of the largest Nissan stores in North America. To get on his pre-order list, please contact him directly through the dealership. Mention this youtube channel too!

This reinforces what I've been seeing in the FB groups. Z reservations open in February and go on sale in May-June.

To be clear, this is not ordering from Nissan, but only to get on a list of buyers at a store. Good luck finding the exact car you want.

Are you suggesting Nissan Dealerships can't select which vehicles they receive? My dealer said that he selects the spec and trim for every vehicle that he receives.

No, I'm saying that consumers cannot order their cars directly from Nissan, as others still believe.

Dealers choose from units already built or are scheduled to be, IIRC. They cannot tell the factory what to build because it relies on the factory's orders to their suppliers and the supplier's ability to fulfill that request from the factory.

Guys, I think this was talked about already, Australia is apparently different than what we're expecting here in the US, no need to drag this on......

That's what I also found out in this video from Jordan Payne. Sounds like dealers will have to work a lot with each other here.

These are SCAMS! Nissan has said they are not taking pre-orders. What this means is some deuchbag (allegid) dealer is taking money from people to put on a list of their own (Fact) and then once they become available they will (presumably) call you to see what they have.

However they could also just say they are putting you on a list but in actuality will sell them to whomever they favor or walks in ready to buy then after that, call you for the leftovers knowing your desperate and will take whatever ones they dont sell. Potentially collecting assloads of money for a fake list.

This is my opinion on this of course.

However, if they put your reservation money back in you hands before buying then you decide yay or nay, you have your money back and can do what you will. Then I would say its legit. But how much are you willing to risk? Especially since Nissan stock is barely $7.50/Share? Maybe this car brings them back. But this rediculous wait leaves me skepticle.

But who knows, maybe they come out soon and all is well.

A lot of people expecting a 40k starting price before tax will find it at 60k+ and will rather go get something else.

All this waiting just to see the price go up even more will turn away a lot of customers. Me for one. I have been holding off on getting a new car to see what the Z has to offer.

However, for around $60,000+ after tax, ill go get a slightly used Jaguar F type for 10 to 15 less with more HP.

I like the Z but im not going to drop $60k to $70k on a base model after the dealer tags on their price increase. Here in Texas, if one dealer has it at 60k they all will.

Guess we will have to wait and see. Nissan is not doing so well these last few years. If they screw up this new Z release they will be hurting for customers im affraid.

Unless they have a great warranty and service that comes with it at 60k+ they are excluding a large customer base.

Just my thoughts.
